Truth Fractured (Poem)

Truth fractured on that day
So long ago when good was rent
When eyes were opened
The first brokenness
To beset our world, followed by more

Truth splintered into shards
Scattered like glass across a floor
Lodging itself into crooked ideas
Bent by the disturbance
Shrapnel sharp and radiant

There’s so much truth out there
And it’s all broken; incomplete
Reflected in a thousand attempts
To piece it back together again
One day, it will mend
